On 24 September 2026, the law firm marketing agency that showed up most often across Google, Bing and five AI assistants was LawUE, a Brisbane agency that works only with law firms. It appeared in 10 of our 14 checks. Lift Legal was next with 9, then Law Launch, Rocket Agency and The Creative Collective with 8 each.
Our top pick is Uprise Digital, our own agency. We put it first because we run SEO, AI search and Google Ads for law firms under one team, report on enquiries and cost per client, and work month to month with no lock-in. The rest of the list is ranked by how visible each agency was across Google, the map pack, Bing and five AI assistants on 24 September 2026. That measures which agencies are easy to find when a lawyer goes looking, which is a fair test for a business that sells being found, but it says nothing about how well they look after clients.
Key findings
- LawUE and Lift Legal were the only agencies in the Google top 20 for all 5 searches we ran. LawUE was also in the map pack, the Bing top 20 and 3 of 7 AI answers.
- Law Launch was named in 5 of 7 AI answers, and both ChatGPT and Perplexity picked it first for a small firm, yet it sat at position 13 on Google.
- Only 1 of the 6 agencies ChatGPT named for “which marketing agencies in Australia specialise in law firms” was in Google’s top 10 for the same search.
- Lawyer Growth held the number 1 map pack spot in 3 of 5 searches with just 2 Google reviews.
- Only 2 of the 12 agencies publish monthly prices: Law Launch ($1,100 to $6,490 a month) and Lawyer Growth ($1,500 to $5,000 for most firms).
How we ranked these legal marketing agencies
On 24 September 2026 we ran 14 checks and counted how many each agency passed.
- Google, 5 checks. The top 20 organic results (Australia, desktop) for “law firm marketing agency”, “legal marketing agency australia”, “law firm seo agency”, “marketing for law firms australia” and “law firm marketing agency australia”.
- Google map pack, 1 check. Did the agency appear in the local 3-pack on any of those searches.
- Bing, 1 check. The Bing top 20 for the last of those searches, read in a browser set to Australia.
- AI answers, 7 checks. We asked ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Mode “Which marketing agencies in Australia specialise in law firms? Give me a shortlist with reasons”. We then asked ChatGPT and Perplexity “Who is the best digital marketing agency for a small law firm in Australia?”
An agency made the list if it was Australian, had a dedicated offer for law firms, and passed at least 4 of the 14 checks. Eleven cleared that bar, and they appear below in order of checks passed, after our own agency at number 1. Then we fetched each agency’s site and wrote down only what it publishes. If you want the channels themselves explained first, read our guide to law firm marketing in Australia, and our legal marketing services page shows what we do for firms.

The 12, one by one
Our own agency comes first. For the other eleven, each entry says where the agency showed up and what its own website says. We have not worked with any of them, nobody paid to be here, and we have not repeated any claim an agency does not make itself.
1. Uprise Digital (our top pick)
This is our own agency, and we put it first because we build law firm marketing around the number that matters to a practice: new client enquiries, and what each one costs. Uprise Digital is a boutique agency in Cremorne, Melbourne, led by founder Lakshane Fonseka, and we work with firms Australia wide. Law and professional services are two of our four focus sectors, and we have worked with more than 100 Australian businesses over four years.
For law firms we run SEO for practice area and suburb pages, GEO so your firm gets named in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI answers, Google Ads, Meta ads, landing pages and web design. One team handles it all, so search, ads and AI visibility pull in the same direction. AI search is a particular strength: in our 24 September 2026 research, Perplexity and Claude both named Uprise Digital as an agency that helps businesses get recommended by ChatGPT and Google AI.
Our legal work includes Future Migration and Education, an education and immigration provider whose sales conversion rate went from 1.3% to over 4%, with 207% revenue growth in six months, and My Australian Career, which saw a 2.5x improvement in its lead-to-sale rate.
We work month to month with no lock-in contracts, your firm owns its ad accounts and data, and we report on enquiries, cost per lead and revenue rather than traffic charts. See our legal marketing services or book a free strategy call.
2. LawUE
LawUE was the most consistent performer: position 2 to 4 on all five Google searches, a map pack spot on three, the Bing top 20, and named by Gemini, Perplexity and Claude. ChatGPT did not name it. Its site says it “works exclusively in the legal industry”, and the history page is unusually open: it started as Loyalest between 2014 and 2016, announced it would only work with legal businesses in 2020 to 2021, and rebranded to LawUE in 2023. Founder Mel Telecican leads a team offering branding, websites, SEO, GEO and AEO, content and Google Ads. We found no published prices or results with numbers.
3. Lift Legal
Lift Legal ranked first on Google for “legal marketing agency australia” and “marketing for law firms australia”, second for the main term, and held a map pack spot. Gemini and Claude named it. The site says “We work exclusively for law firms” and that it was “founded by two lawyers who were previously Managing Partners of progressive law firms”. It lists a PO Box in Mosman and says it serves Australia, the UK and the US. One client testimonial says the newsletter service “increased our file openings by 218% over 18 months”.
4. Law Launch
Law Launch is the clearest case of an agency AI rates more highly than Google does. It was only at position 13 on two Google searches, but it was first on Bing and named in five of seven AI answers. Asked who is best for a small law firm, both ChatGPT and Perplexity put it first. The site says it has helped law firms “since 2020” and works with “just lawyers”. Founder Harrison Dale says he graduated in law from Macquarie University in 2018. It is one of only two agencies here that publish monthly prices, from $1,100 a month. Its case studies describe work delivered, such as 45 service pages for a criminal firm, rather than results in numbers.
5. Rocket Agency
Rocket ranked 12th to 18th on three Google searches, third on Bing, and was named by Claude, Google AI Mode and both second-round answers. It is a multi-industry agency with a legal page describing “50+ digital specialists” in Surry Hills and Melbourne, covering SEO, paid search, paid social, email and creative. It says it is a Google Premier Partner. Its site blocked our standard fetch, so we read it through a text reader. The numbered results we found were for non-legal clients, and there are no published prices.
6. The Creative Collective
The Creative Collective held the number 1 Google spot for both “law firm marketing agency” and “law firm marketing agency australia”, and was named by Gemini, Claude and Google AI Mode, but not ChatGPT or Perplexity. It is a full service agency “getting stuff done since 2007”, founded by Yvette Adams, with offices in Mooloolaba and Newcastle. Its law page names legal clients such as Cooper King Legal and Disability Law Queensland, and talks about Law Society advertising rules. The site says it has “over 400 case studies on file”.
7. Legalsites
Legalsites ranked 8th and 17th on two Google searches, and ChatGPT and Perplexity named it in both of their answers. It was the only agency ChatGPT named that was also in Google’s top 10 for the same search. Its site showed us a security check on 24 September 2026, so we could not read it. Its about page, as indexed by search, says it was founded by Brendan Kelso, a University of Newcastle commerce and law graduate, and serves firms in Australia and New Zealand. Treat those details as unconfirmed until you see the site yourself.
8. Lawyer Growth
Lawyer Growth is the map pack story. It was the number 1 map result on three of our five searches with a Google profile showing just 2 reviews, yet it was not in the organic top 20 for any of them. It was second on Bing, and ChatGPT named it in both answers. The site says law firms are “all we do”, “Specialists since 2021”, with “one firm per practice area, per region”. It publishes a price guide of $1,500 to $5,000 a month for most firms. It shows a Parramatta family law story (+241% organic traffic and 12 new clients in 6 months), but the footer says “Results shown are illustrative examples of the work, not a promise of outcomes for any firm.” Read those numbers with that line in mind.
9. Yo Media
Yo Media ranked 3rd to 5th on three Google searches, and Claude and the second Perplexity answer named it. The homepage opens with “Attention: Law Firms”, while also saying “Since 2013, we’ve been helping business owners and law firms grow”. Founder Nathan Harding leads it. The site shows a Semrush Australian Search Awards win for Best Online Marketing Campaign, Legal Services, and a client quote saying online enquiries went “from maybe one a month to 50”.
10. Melotti Content Media
Melotti ranked 9th on one Google search, appeared twice in the Bing top 20, and Gemini and Perplexity named it. It is a messaging, copywriting and content agency for many industries, with a legal marketing page, offices on King Street in Sydney and Collins Street in Melbourne, and Christopher Melotti at the head. At 155 reviews, it has the biggest Google review count on this list.
11. Cliqe
Cliqe is the opposite of Law Launch. It ranked on four Google searches but no AI assistant named it. It is a two-founder Gold Coast agency, started in 2023, that began with tradies and now also works with lawyers, accountants and retail brands. It publishes one of the few legal results with dates attached: a boutique firm it calls Darwin Legal, with “70 enquiries a month at $10.21 each”, measured 1 to 31 July 2026.
12. AEK Media
AEK Media ranked on four Google searches, including second for “law firm seo agency”, but no AI assistant named it. It is a multi-industry agency in Crows Nest whose case studies include legal clients with numbers, such as “How We Increased CDLA’s Leads By 467% Over 10 Months” for Criminal Defence Lawyers Australia, and an 81% organic traffic increase for Revolution Law.
Just outside the list with 3 checks each were Antelope Media, a Sydney content consultancy with a legal practice, Australian Legal Marketing and Advertising, and Digital Autopilot.
Google and AI assistants picked different agencies
Ranking on Google and being recommended by AI are now two different jobs, and the same agencies did not win both.
| Pattern | Agencies | What the data shows |
|---|---|---|
| Strong in both | LawUE, Lift Legal, The Creative Collective | Google top 20 for 4 or 5 searches, named by 2 or 3 AI answers |
| AI first, Google weak | Law Launch, Legalsites, Lawyer Growth | Named by 3 to 5 AI answers, Google organic top 20 for 2 searches or fewer |
| Google only | Cliqe, AEK Media | Google top 20 for 4 searches, named by no AI answer |
ChatGPT was the outlier. For the specialist question it named Lawyer Growth, Legalsites, Law Launch, Dezign Legal, Antelope Media and April Ford, and only Legalsites was in Google’s top 10. Its reasons came from what each agency says about itself, such as a law-only focus. Across our wider study of 24 buying questions, ChatGPT’s citations matched a Google top 20 domain only 20% of the time. We compare the assistants in our ChatGPT vs Gemini vs Perplexity test.
Perplexity leaned on directories, citing 17 different sites including Clutch, Semrush’s agency list and HubSpot’s marketplace. Google AI Mode picked a different five again: Rocket Agency, Antelope Media, SIXGUN, The Creative Collective and Temerity Digital.
AI answers change between identical runs, which we measured in our repeat-prompt study, so treat any single shortlist as a sample. The steady signal is that the agencies AI named most often say plainly, on their own homepage, that they only work with lawyers. We see the same pattern for law firms themselves in how law firms get recommended by ChatGPT.

What a legal marketing agency costs in Australia
| Agency | What it publishes |
|---|---|
| Law Launch | Ongoing “Grow” packages at $1,100, $1,700 and $2,500 a month. “Launch” packages at $2,090, $3,490 and $6,490 a month. Google Ads add-on with a one-off $1,990 setup fee. |
| Lawyer Growth | “Most firms invest between $1,500 and $5,000 per month depending on their practice areas, location and competition.” |
| Antelope Media (just outside the list) | Project pricing: content projects from $3,500 plus GST, messaging sprints from $4,250 plus GST. |
| The other ten, including Uprise | No fixed fees published. Quotes on request. |
So published fees for ongoing specialist work run from $1,100 to $6,490 a month, with Lawyer Growth putting most firms at $1,500 to $5,000, all before ad spend. We break down ad budgets in our guide to Google Ads for lawyers. For context, advertisers pay about $15 a click on “law firm marketing agency” and about $21 on “law firm marketing” in our Australian search data, so agencies compete hard for law firm clients too.
Red flags when hiring a legal marketing agency
An agency writes advertising that carries your name, and the responsibility sits with you. Rule 36.1 of the Australian Solicitors’ Conduct Rules, as the Law Society of NSW sets out, says a solicitor or principal must ensure any advertising, marketing or promotion is not false, misleading or deceptive or likely to mislead or deceive, offensive, or prohibited by law. We cover the rules, Queensland’s personal injury limits and a recent tribunal fine in our law firm SEO guide. Here is how that turns into warning signs.
- It promises rankings or cases. Google says no one can guarantee a number one ranking. An agency that guarantees results to you will be comfortable writing guarantees for your clients, which is exactly where Rule 36 bites.
- Its copy calls you a specialist when you are not accredited. “Specialist” or “expert” on a practice area page can give a false impression of accredited specialist status. Ask how they check this before anything goes live.
- It wants to run “no win, no fee” ads in Queensland. Personal injury advertising there has its own restrictions. If the agency does not raise this first, it does not know the market.
- It shows results you cannot check. Ask for the firm, the dates and the measure. Lawyer Growth labels its stories “illustrative examples”, which is at least honest, and Cliqe gives a date range. A percentage with no firm, no dates and no disclaimer asks you to take the one thing you cannot verify on trust.
- It will not say who else it works for. Ask whether it already works for a firm in your practice area and suburb.
- It wants to own your accounts. Your domain, website, Google Business Profile, ads and analytics should be in the firm’s name, with the agency given access. Get that in writing.
- It offers to write reviews or reward clients for them. Reviews are advertising too. Our guide to local SEO for lawyers covers how to ask for them properly.
The agency has its own obligations as well. The ACCC says claims must not be false or misleading whether or not the business meant to mislead, and its guidance on false or misleading claims applies to the pitch in front of you as much as to the ads that follow.
Specialist or multi-industry: which suits your firm
Five of the twelve are law-only (four say so on their sites, and Legalsites appears to be from its name and listing), one is mostly legal, and six, including us, work across many industries. The data does not show one model getting better results. A law-only agency should know the conduct rules and practice area language already, but may have conflicts in a small city. A multi-industry agency may bring a bigger team and more channels, but you should check who reviews your copy. Three questions sort most agencies quickly: can you show a named legal client result with dates, who checks our copy against the conduct rules, and what do we keep if we leave after six months? Our guide to choosing an agency without getting burned covers the contract side, and our law firm website design guide covers what a good legal site needs.
How we did this research
All checks ran on 24 September 2026. Google results were the top 20 organic listings plus map pack for five searches (Australia, desktop). The Bing list was the top 20 from bing.com set to Australia, read in a browser. The AI answers came from the API versions of ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude with web search on and an Australian location where supported, plus Google AI Mode for Australia. These are not the consumer apps, and each prompt ran once.
An agency counted as “named” only when its name appeared in the answer text, not when its site was merely cited. Every check has equal weight, so a number 1 and a number 19 Google spot both count once. Agency facts come from each agency’s own site, and review figures from its Google Business Profile, both on the same day. One day of checks is a snapshot, and some excellent agencies grow by referral and would never show up here. Use this page to build a shortlist to call, not to make the decision.
Frequently asked questions
What does a law firm marketing agency do?
It helps a legal practice win clients through SEO, Google Ads, websites, Google Business Profile, content and social media, and a good one knows the advertising rules lawyers work under. Of the twelve we checked, five are law-only, one is mostly legal and six serve several industries.
How much does a legal marketing agency cost in Australia?
Among agencies that publish prices, ongoing fees run from about $1,100 to $6,490 a month. Lawyer Growth says most firms invest $1,500 to $5,000 a month. Ad spend is extra, and most agencies only quote on request.
Are lawyers allowed to advertise in Australia?
Yes, but under Rule 36 of the Australian Solicitors’ Conduct Rules the advertising must not be false, misleading, deceptive, offensive or prohibited by law. Some areas carry extra limits, such as personal injury advertising in Queensland. Check your law society’s guidance before a campaign goes live.
Does SEO work for law firms?
It can, because people search for lawyers by practice area and suburb, and those searches carry high click prices. It takes time, because city-wide terms are crowded with long-established firms, so narrow practice area and suburb pages usually move first.
Is a law-only agency better than a general one?
Not automatically. A law-only agency usually knows the rules and practice areas already, while a general agency may bring a bigger team. Ask either kind for a named legal result with dates and for who reviews your copy for compliance.
Why does ChatGPT recommend different agencies from Google?
It reads different sources and weighs them differently. In our test ChatGPT relied mostly on what agencies say about themselves, while Perplexity leaned on directories like Clutch. Only one of ChatGPT’s six picks was in Google’s top 10 for the same question.
