Search “facebook ads agency” from an Australian IP today and you get national agencies, city landing pages, and one blog post that puts its own author at number one. None of that tells you who is a good fit for your business.
So we ran the checks ourselves on 12 September 2026. We pulled live Google results for “facebook ads agency” and “facebook ads agency australia”, twenty deep. We asked ChatGPT what a real buyer asks: “best Facebook ads agency in Australia for a local service business”. Then we opened the site of every agency that came up.
What follows is 12 Australian agencies, where each one is based, whether they lean towards ecommerce or lead generation, and what they publish about fees. Uprise Digital is on the list. Yes, this is us, and we put ourselves where our own data put us, which is last.
How we built this list
Everything here comes from three checks run on 12 September 2026.
- Live Google results. Two searches, set to Australia and English, twenty results deep: “facebook ads agency” and “facebook ads agency australia”. We also recorded who Google’s AI Overview named.
- A ChatGPT test. One question, set to Australia: “best Facebook ads agency in Australia for a local service business”. We recorded the shortlist and the local business panel it returned.
- Site reading. We opened each agency’s own page and noted the city, whether they show ecommerce or lead generation work, any published fees, and whether they use the words “Meta Business Partner”.
The order is based on how visible each agency was across those checks. We did not rank anyone on quality, because nobody can measure that from the outside. We also left out claims about staff, results or awards unless the agency publishes them itself.

The 12 agencies in detail
1. SOUP Agency
Number one organic result for both national searches. Offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. Its site says plainly that “SOUP is a badged Meta Business Partner”. It runs lead generation with instant forms and landing pages, and ecommerce with “Catalogue and Advantage+ campaigns tied to your product feed”. It also lists Meta Pixel and Conversions API setup, which most agency pages skip. No fee is published, but it does publish benchmarks of $20 to $80 cost per lead and 1.5x to 2.5x return on ad spend.
2. First Page
Second on both searches. Melbourne office in Richmond, Sydney office at Barangaroo. It uses the exact phrase “Meta Business Partner”. The page covers a product catalogue section for ecommerce and a separate lead generation section. No fee is published. Instead it offers a guarantee: “We Guarantee To Beat Your Results By 40% Or We Work For Free”. A guarantee is a contract term, so read the conditions before you sign.
3. Digital Nomads HQ
Based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Third on both national searches, and third again for “facebook ads agency melbourne”, on the strength of its own agency listicle rather than a service page. It is open about placing itself first in that list. Its services run wider than paid social, covering SEO, search ads, web design and email, and it says campaigns start from $1,000 per month. It does not use the words “Meta Business Partner”.
4. Rocket Agency
Sydney office in Surry Hills, Melbourne office on Albert Coates Lane. It ranked for all three of our searches. Its page says “We’re a Meta Business Partner”, alongside Google Premier Partner and HubSpot Platinum Partner status. It is the most B2B leaning agency here, with pages for legal, SaaS, government, healthcare and education as well as ecommerce, and a team it calls “50+ digital marketing specialists”. No fee is published.
5. Online Marketing Gurus
Usually shortened to OMG. It works from a Crows Nest headquarters in Sydney and its page carries the line “Meta Business Partner | 60+ Industry Awards”. Work spans ecommerce, fashion, financial services, real estate, healthcare and professional services, so it is a both agency. No fee is published, though it offers a free ads review described as part of a digital strategy “worth $4,000 at no cost”. Google’s AI Overview named OMG for our first search.
6. King Kong
Level 1, 12 River Street, South Yarra in Melbourne, and the fourth organic result for “facebook ads agency australia”. It handles both sides, and says “For Lead Generation campaigns, we would build out a sales funnel”. Its page shows a Google Partner badge but not the words “Meta Business Partner”. Pricing is not published. It does publish a guarantee for accounts that are already profitable: “We guarantee to beat your results by 30% or we work for free”.
7. Farsiight
Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. It ranked for “facebook ads agency” and again for “facebook ads agency melbourne”. Its page says the team “funneled over $5 million into Facebook Ads for our clients in the past year”, and calls the agency “official partners with Meta”, which is not the same wording as badged partner status. Clients split between ecommerce brands and B2B software. Pricing is custom.
8. Click Click Media
It did not rank in the organic top 20, but Google’s AI Overview named it. Based in Norwest in Sydney’s north west, it is the most open agency here about money: management “from $1,200 per month” excluding GST, media budgets from around $3,000 per month, “No lock-in contracts” and “Month-to-month from day one”. It runs “dynamic product ads for ecommerce, lead generation forms for service businesses”, and shows a Meta Business Partner badge image, while the credentials it leads with in words are Google Premier Partner and Semrush Certified Agency Partner.
9. Clearwater Agency
It did not appear in our Google checks, but ChatGPT put it third on its shortlist, and its Google Business Profile showed 4.9 from 85 reviews in the same check. It is based in Cremorne in Melbourne, works with “businesses Australia wide” and says it operates “across B2C and B2B landscapes”. No pricing is published and it does not use the words “Meta Business Partner”.
10. Local Digital
Offices in Parramatta in western Sydney and Burleigh Heads in Queensland. ChatGPT returned it in the local business panel. It works across cleaning, manufacturing, legal, retail and professional services, and says it has worked with more than 500 businesses over eight years. It is unusually direct about budget, saying fees run “anywhere from $1,500 a month to $20,000 per month or more”, and that “if you’re spending less than $1,000 per month on your agency it’s unlikely you’re getting much for that investment”.
11. MetaAdGuys
ChatGPT’s actual pick when we asked about a local service business. It is “Gold Coast owned and operated” with “No overseas outsourcing”, and the only agency here publishing a flat price: $799 per month for a service business lead generation system and $1,299 per month for online stores, with “No setup fee. No lock-in”. Its results page lists Meta reported leads for Australian trades, including 78 leads at $9.68 cost per lead for a Morayfield mobile mechanic and 32 leads at $18.66 on $597.01 of spend for a Melbourne roof tiler. It states that “we do not call a lead a sale, job or dollar of revenue without the client’s downstream records”, which is the honest way to present lead data.
12. Uprise Digital
Yes, this is us. Melbourne based, working Australia wide. We did not appear in the organic top 20 for either national search today, and ChatGPT did not name us, so we are last on a list ordered by visibility.
Where we do show up is at city level. For “facebook ads agency melbourne” on the same day, our Melbourne Facebook ads agency list ranked ninth. Our Facebook ads management service leans towards lead generation for trades and construction, home services, professional services, health, solar, property, medical and legal. We do not publish a fixed monthly fee, and we do not use the words “Meta Business Partner” about ourselves.
What changed in Meta ads in 2025 and 2026
An agency shortlist from two years ago is out of date because the job itself changed. Three things matter when you are choosing who to hire.
Advantage+ now does most of the setup
Meta’s own training page says Advantage+ sales campaigns “remove the uncertainty from your setup by utilising advanced AI to optimise your budget, audience and placements”, and that advertisers using them “achieved a 20% lower cost per result” on average. You can read Meta’s lesson on Advantage+ sales campaigns yourself.
That removes a large part of the old agency job. If an agency’s pitch is mostly about clever targeting, ask what they do that the platform does not already do for free.
Creative volume is the lever that is left
Meta’s Advantage+ creative page says the tool “uses AI to generate and enhance ad variations across single image, video and carousel formats”, and lists lifts of 2 to 3 per cent in conversions from background generation on catalogue ads and 13 per cent more conversions when related media is used. Those are single digit gains on top of the creative you supply.
Meta’s lesson on creative diversity puts it another way: “Creative diversification means using different visual concepts in a variety of ad formats and placements.” Resizing one video into three formats is not diversity. New concepts are, and that is the part machines are not doing for you.
First-party data does the measuring
Browser tracking is not what it was. Meta says the Conversions API “connects your marketing data directly to Meta” through “a more reliable server connection” than the pixel, which “depends on third-party cookies and other data transmitted through web browser protocols”. Meta’s own figure is that advertisers “saw a 17.8% lower cost per result with a Conversions API setup for web events on average, compared to those without Conversions API”.
For an Australian service business, that is the difference between Meta counting form fills and Meta counting booked jobs from your CRM. Ask any agency whether Conversions API setup is included.
How Australian Facebook ads agencies charge
Most agencies here do not publish a price. Four do. Here is what was on their sites on 12 September 2026.
| Agency | What it publishes |
|---|---|
| MetaAdGuys | $799 per month for service businesses, $1,299 per month for online stores, no setup fee, no lock-in |
| Digital Nomads HQ | Campaigns from $1,000 per month |
| Click Click Media | Management from $1,200 per month excluding GST, media budgets from around $3,000 per month, no lock-in contracts |
| Local Digital | Agency fees “anywhere from $1,500 a month to $20,000 per month or more” |
| SOUP Agency | No fee published. Says most Australian SMBs spend $2,000 to $5,000 per month on media |
| King Kong | No fee published. Guarantees to beat existing results by 30 per cent or work for free |
| First Page | No fee published. Guarantees to beat existing results by 40 per cent or work for free |
| Rocket, OMG, Farsiight, Clearwater, Uprise Digital | No fee published |
Three fee models turn up in Australia. A flat monthly retainer is the most common and easiest to budget for. A percentage of ad spend, usually 10 to 20 per cent, is second, and it has an obvious problem: the agency earns more when you spend more, whether or not that is the right call. Performance pricing sounds fairest, but everything depends on how the result is defined and who counts it. Whatever the model, ask what the fee covers: management only, or creative too?
Why creative production is the real cost
A Meta account that is working chews through creative. Ads that ran well in March stop working in June because the same people have seen them too often. You need a steady supply of new concepts, not a one off shoot.
This is where budgets quietly break. A $1,500 monthly fee sounds fine until you find out it covers setup and reporting and nothing else, and that shooting four to six new video concepts a month is a separate line that can cost as much again. There are three honest ways to handle it, and none is free.
- The agency produces creative. Cleanest, most expensive. Make the retainer say how many new concepts per month, not “ongoing creative refreshes”.
- You film, they edit. Cheaper and often better for trades, because customers respond to the actual business rather than stock footage. It only works if someone will genuinely film every week.
- User generated content creators. A middle path. Expect to pay per video, and expect a hit rate, not a guarantee.
When you compare quotes, put creative volume in the same table as the fee. A $2,000 retainer with eight new concepts a month is cheaper than a $1,500 retainer with none. Our guide to measuring Facebook and Instagram ads ROI shows how to put a number on that.
How to judge an agency’s case studies
Most case studies are written to sound better than they are. Four questions sort the useful ones from the rest.
Is there a dollar figure for spend? A case study that says “cost per lead down 62 per cent” with no spend attached could be a $500 test. MetaAdGuys publishes spend next to each result, which is why we could quote it above.
Does it say leads or does it say sales? These are very different numbers, and the gap between them is where most disappointment lives.
How long did it run? A good month is not a result. Ask for the twelve month view.
Is the business anything like yours? A 6x return on ad spend for a fashion brand tells you nothing about whether the same team can book jobs for a Brisbane electrician. That is why the table above filters on ecommerce against lead generation.
To see how a lead generation account is structured, our Facebook and Instagram ad funnel guide walks through the stages, and our Meta ads playbook for Australian solar companies shows the numbers in one industry.
Who owns the ad account, the Page and the pixel
This is the question people forget to ask and regret later. Your ad account, Page, Instagram account, pixel and Conversions API setup should sit inside a Meta Business account your business owns, with the agency added as a partner. When the relationship ends you remove their access and everything stays with you, including the historical data Meta uses to optimise.
The alternative is an agency running your ads from its own business account. That is convenient at first, but if you leave you may lose the ad account, the pixel history and the audiences built from it. Put three things in writing before you sign:
- The ad account, pixel and Conversions API setup sit under your Meta Business account, not the agency’s.
- You keep admin access on your Page and ad account throughout.
- On exit, the agency removes itself and you keep all creative you paid for, including source files.
Click Click Media publishes “No lock-in contracts” and MetaAdGuys publishes “No lock-in”. Contract length and asset ownership are separate things. A month to month contract is no help if you cannot take your account with you.
What the search data says about demand
“Facebook ads agency” gets about 880 searches a month in Australia, with a suggested cost per click around $19.95. That cost per click is the real signal. Agencies pay close to twenty dollars to be seen by one person typing that phrase, which tells you what a new client is worth to them.
The direction of travel matters more than the volume. Searches for “facebook ads agency” were down about a third quarter on quarter, while “meta ads agency” was up 56 per cent year on year. People are slowly moving to Meta’s own name for the platform. Meanwhile “facebook ads management” sits steady at roughly 6,600 searches a month, seven times the agency term.
City terms are small but they are where the buying happens. “Facebook ads agency melbourne” runs around 170 searches a month and “facebook ads agency sydney” around 90, while the national “facebook ads agency australia” only gets about 70. One oddity: September 2025 shows a single large spike across nearly every term here, then a return to normal. We would not read a season into one month.
FAQ
How much does a Facebook ads agency cost in Australia?
From the sites we read on 12 September 2026, published management fees ran from $799 per month up to a stated ceiling of $20,000 per month or more for large accounts. The most common starting point was $1,000 to $1,500 per month, and most agencies publish nothing at all.
Ad spend is separate and usually the bigger number. One agency site says most Australian SMBs put $2,000 to $5,000 per month into media. Add creative production on top if it is not in the retainer.
What is a Meta Business Partner and does it matter?
It is a badge Meta gives to agencies and technology companies that meet its criteria. Four of the twelve agencies here use the exact phrase: SOUP, First Page, Rocket and Online Marketing Gurus. Two others describe a Meta relationship in different words. It is a reasonable signal that an agency has been vetted, but it is not a quality rating and says nothing about whether they suit your industry.
Should I hire an ecommerce specialist or a lead generation specialist?
Whichever matches how you make money. Ecommerce work revolves around product feeds, catalogue ads and return on ad spend. Lead generation revolves around forms, phone calls, response time and whether a lead turns into a booked job. Most agencies here say they do both. Ask to see two or three case studies from your side of the split, with spend figures attached, before you sign.
How long before Facebook ads produce results?
Meta needs conversion data before it can optimise, so the first few weeks are mostly learning. In our experience with Australian lead generation accounts, you get a usable read on cost per lead in about four to six weeks, and a read on lead quality only once enough leads have been through your sales process. No agency can honestly promise a result before that data exists.
Are Facebook ads better than Google Ads for a local service business?
They do different jobs. Google catches people already searching for what you sell. Facebook and Instagram put you in front of people who are not looking yet, which is cheaper per click but takes more work to convert. Many Australian service businesses run both. We compared them in Google Ads versus Facebook Ads.
Do I need an agency at all, or can I run Meta ads myself?
Plenty of small businesses run their own ads well, especially now that Advantage+ handles much of the setup. What defeats in-house teams is rarely the platform. It is producing enough new creative every month and keeping tracking accurate. If neither is going to happen, an agency is buying you creative capacity more than platform skill. We wrote about that line in agency versus in house for Instagram ads.
Where to go next
Use the table above as a filter, not a ranking of quality. Pick three agencies whose focus matches how your business makes money, ask each what creative volume the fee covers, and get account ownership in writing before you start.
If you want a second opinion on an existing Meta account, or you want to know what a lead generation setup would look like for your business, you can read how we work on our Facebook ads page. We are happy to look at your numbers and say honestly whether paid social is right for you right now.
