Best SEO Companies in Perth (2026): Ranked by Real Data

Most “best SEO companies in Perth” lists are built from agency directories and old notes. This one is built from two checks we ran on 12 September 2026: a live Google search set to Perth, Western Australia, and a live ChatGPT question asked the way a real buyer would ask it.

The two sources do not agree. Some agencies own the Google results for Perth SEO terms and never get named by ChatGPT. Others get named by ChatGPT and do not appear in the first 20 Google results at all. If you are picking an agency in 2026, that gap matters, because your own customers are now using both.

Below are 12 independent agencies that showed up in one or both checks, plus us. We are last on purpose. Everything we say about another agency comes from that agency’s own website or from what we saw in the search results.

How we built this list

Three checks, all run on 12 September 2026.

  • Live Google search. We pulled the top 20 results for “seo companies perth” and “best seo companies perth”, with the search location set to Perth, Western Australia. That includes the map pack, not just the blue links.
  • Live ChatGPT test. We asked ChatGPT two questions with web search turned on. First, “best SEO company in Perth for a local business”. Second, “which SEO agency in Perth is best for a B2B mining services or industrial company”. We recorded every agency it named.
  • Homepage check. We then opened each agency’s own site to confirm where they are based and what they say they do. Where a site blocked us, we say so.

The order is based on how many of those checks each agency turned up in. Agencies that appeared in both Google and ChatGPT sit near the top. That is a visibility ranking, not a quality ranking. It tells you who is currently easy to find, which is a fair first filter when you are building a shortlist. We left out directory listings, third party star ratings and team size numbers, because we could not verify them ourselves.

The agencies

1. Digital Hitmen

Based in Attadale. Digital Hitmen turned up in the Google map pack for “seo companies perth” and ChatGPT named them in the local business question. Their site says they were founded in 2016 and describes them as “Perth’s most award-winning small SEM agency”, listing recognition from the Global Search Awards, Global Digital Excellence Awards and Search Engine Land.

Their service list covers local, technical, ecommerce and franchise SEO, Google Ads, web design and AI automation work, with generative engine optimisation as its own service. Their site says partnerships start with a six month sprint and then move to month to month.

2. Perth SEO Studio

Based in Subiaco. They appeared in the Google top 10 for both search terms and ChatGPT named them in the local business answer. Their site lists seven services, all SEO: on page, off page, technical, audits, copywriting, local SEO and migrations. No ads, no design, no social.

If you want a team that only does search, this is the clearest example on the list. Their case studies cover a surgeon, a technology startup, a B2B tender portal and a fashion store.

3. PWD Digital Agency

Perth. PWD held the number one organic position for “seo companies perth” in our check, and ChatGPT named them as a good option if your website needs work alongside the SEO. Their search listing describes them as “Perth’s leading SEO company” delivering “ROI-focused SEO services to businesses across Australia”. We could not load their site directly, so everything here comes from the search listing. Worth opening yourself before you call them.

4. Firewire Digital

This one is interesting. Firewire ranked in the Google top 20 for both Perth searches and ChatGPT named them in the mining and B2B answer. But their own site lists their base as Newcastle, New South Wales, not Perth.

They run a dedicated Perth SEO page that names four Perth verticals, including “mining services and resources”, which they describe as “high-value B2B, long sales cycles” where “one ranked page can feed a pipeline for years”. They publish pricing on that page: “Most Perth businesses invest $1,500-$5,000 per month depending on competition and scope; our campaigns start from $2,500 per month”. They say the work is done in house with no lock in contracts.

5. Dilate Digital

Based at 31 Queen Victoria Street, Fremantle. Dilate held a top five organic spot for both of our Perth searches. ChatGPT did not name them in either answer.

Their site calls them “Perth’s #1 Digital Marketing Agency” and the service list is wide: brand strategy, content production, video, website design, app development, SEO, generative engine optimisation, link building, email, Google Ads and Facebook Ads. If you want one team for everything, that breadth is the point. If you want a search specialist, ask who inside the team actually runs your SEO.

6. The SEO Company

Based in West Leederville. This was ChatGPT’s first pick for a typical Perth small business, but they did not appear in our Google top 20 for either Perth search term. That split is exactly why we ran both checks.

Their site says they have been doing SEO since 2007 and work month to month. They publish a price range openly: “For most Australian businesses, useful SEO sits between $1,500 and $6,000 per month.” They also make a fair point about being in Perth rather than Sydney or Melbourne: “The Perth base just means our overheads are lower than the equivalent east-coast agency, which shows up in pricing.”

7. Bonfire

Head office at 1/1 Rokeby Road, Subiaco, with a second office in Melbourne. ChatGPT named Bonfire as the larger performance option for a business with a bigger budget. They did not appear in our Google top 20 for the two Perth SEO terms.

Their site describes them as “Perth’s leading independent digital marketing agency” and “Perth & WA’s leading independent Google Premier Partner, ten years running”. Services listed include AI search optimisation and reporting, local and ecommerce SEO, Google Ads, social advertising, radio and TV.

8. Concise Digital

Concise held the top spot in the Google map pack for “seo companies perth” in our check. ChatGPT did not name them. Their site says leadership, sales and digital marketing teams are based in Perth and Sydney, and calls the business “Australia’s No Nonsense Digital Agency”.

They cover website design and development across WordPress, Laravel, Webflow and Shopify, plus ecommerce, SEO, Google Ads, email and hosting. Their portfolio names mining, legal, education and accounting work.

9. White Chalk Road

Based at 5/59 Parry Street, Perth. They appeared in the Google map pack for “best seo companies perth”. ChatGPT did not name them.

Their site says they have been going “since 1999” and lists SEO audits, technical SEO, local SEO, copywriting, link building and conversion work, plus Google Ads, generative engine optimisation and ChatGPT Ads. The industries they name are broad, from accountants and dentists to NDIS providers, tradies and vets.

10. Loaded Communications

Based at 201-203 Bulwer Street, Perth. They ranked in the Google top 10 for both of our Perth searches. ChatGPT did not name them.

Their SEO page describes them as “Perth-based SEO specialists” doing technical SEO, user experience reviews, content and link development, and says they are moving into generative engine optimisation. Their search listing adds: “No lock-in contracts, no shortcuts, no outsourcing.”

11. Distl

Based at 3/73 Troy Terrace, Jolimont. Distl ranked in the Google top 20 for “seo companies perth”. ChatGPT did not name them.

Their site calls them “Perth’s SEO Specialists” and covers SEO, web design and development, branding, content, Google Ads, social and email. On industries they say: “Rather than limit our work to specific industries, we take the time to understand your unique business landscape.” The experience they then list runs from building and air conditioning through to engineering, medical, aged care, and mining and gas.

12. 121 Group

ChatGPT put 121 Group first in the mining and industrial B2B answer. They did not appear in our Google top 20 for the two Perth SEO terms, which is not surprising, because those terms are mostly used by local service businesses rather than industrial buyers.

Their Perth page says the head office is in Melbourne, with Perth and Sydney teams, and that “21 of our 35 industrial clients are WA-based, the majority”. It names Berg Engineering, JSW, SMW Drilling and PYBAR as Perth engagements, and explains why they run a local team: “The Perth pod exists because WA industrial B2B procurement is fundamentally local.” If you sell to mining houses or tier one contractors, that is positioning worth testing in a proposal.

13. Uprise Digital (yes, this is us)

We are based in Cremorne, Melbourne, and we work across Australia, including Perth. We did not appear in the Google top 20 or in either ChatGPT answer for these Perth queries on 12 September 2026, and it would be dishonest to write a list like this and pretend otherwise.

What we do is SEO plus answer engine work, which means building for Google rankings and for being quotable by ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Mode at the same time. Our SEO Perth page sets out the approach and our AEO Perth page covers the AI search side. Packages start from $2,000 per month for local service businesses and scale from there. We do not guarantee rankings, and you should be careful with anyone who does.

What the Perth search market actually looks like

Perth is not a small market, but it is a different shape to Sydney and Melbourne. Here is what our search data pull on 12 September 2026 shows for monthly search volume on common Perth service terms, and what advertisers pay per click.

Search term Searches per month Cost per click
electrician perth 4,400 $24.80
web design perth 4,400 $23.57
plumber perth 3,600 $21.98
solar perth 3,600 $17.75
pest control perth 3,600 $13.13
dentist perth 2,900 $12.20
air conditioning perth 1,900 $15.69
lawyer perth 1,600 $12.94
conveyancing perth 720 $30.72
mining services perth 20 $7.92

Two things jump out. Trades have real volume and expensive clicks. An electrician click costs about $24.80 and a conveyancing click about $30.72, which is why ranking organically in those categories is worth so much. Rank first for “electrician perth” and you are picking up traffic that would otherwise cost a competitor thousands of dollars a month in ad spend.

The second thing is the bottom row. “Mining services perth” gets about 20 searches a month. That is not a mistake.

The mining and B2B side of Perth

Perth’s biggest industry is almost invisible in head term search volume. Nobody types “mining services perth” into Google and picks a supplier from the results. Procurement people search for a specific capability, standard, piece of equipment or problem.

That is why the agency picture changes completely when you ask a B2B question. When we asked ChatGPT for the best Perth SEO agency for a mining services or industrial company, it named a different set of agencies entirely, and it warned against choosing on review count. Its reasoning was that a local SEO company might be excellent at trades work but may not understand how a large engineering contract gets researched and shortlisted.

If you sell into resources, ask every agency to show you the long tail keyword list they would build, not a plan to rank for “mining company Perth”. If the proposal is full of city plus industry head terms, they have not looked at the actual demand.

When Perth businesses go looking for an SEO agency

There is a clear pattern in when people search for a Perth SEO agency. Monthly searches for “seo companies perth” ran like this: 1,600 in August 2025, 4,400 in September 2025, a long quiet stretch through summer, back up to 2,400 in March 2026, then 480 in June and July 2026.

September and March are the two peaks. They line up with the start of the new financial year planning cycle and the end of the first quarter. The same shape shows in “best seo companies perth”, which hit 590 searches in September 2025 and 590 again in March 2026, against a low of 50 in June 2026. If you are hiring, you are shopping at the busiest time of year, so expect slower replies in September.

Two more numbers worth knowing. “seo perth” gets about 2,900 searches a month with a keyword difficulty score of 3, and “seo agency perth” gets 1,600 at a difficulty of 5. Those are unusually low scores for that volume. But the year on year direction is down across the board. Some of that is normal seasonality. Some is likely people asking an AI assistant instead of running a search, which is the same shift we looked at in our guide to Perth AEO agencies.

The time zone question, and why it matters more than people admit

Western Australia runs on Australian Western Standard Time. That is two hours behind Sydney and Melbourne in winter and three hours behind in summer, because WA does not observe daylight saving.

Two of the agencies on this list are not based in Perth. Firewire Digital’s site lists Newcastle, New South Wales as its base. 121 Group’s head office is Melbourne, though they say they run a Perth team specifically because WA industrial buying is local. We are in Melbourne too.

That is not automatically a problem. Plenty of good work gets done across the country. But it changes your day in practical ways, so ask about it directly:

  • A 9am Perth call is 11am or midday on the east coast, which is fine. A 3pm Perth call is 5pm or 6pm there, which is when people start logging off.
  • Urgent site problems raised at 4pm Perth time will usually be looked at the next morning.
  • Ask whether the reporting call is set in Perth time or theirs, and who moves when east coast daylight saving starts in October.
  • Ask who does the work. Some agencies with a Perth address send delivery elsewhere, and some without one have a local person on the account.

Local knowledge matters in a different way too. Perth suburb names, the split between north and south of the river, and FIFO roster patterns all affect how people search and when they call. An agency that has never heard of a two and one roster will not understand why your enquiries spike on certain days of the fortnight.

What to ask before you sign anything

Three agencies on this list publish a price range on their own site. Firewire says most Perth businesses invest $1,500 to $5,000 per month, with their own campaigns starting from $2,500. The SEO Company says useful SEO for most Australian businesses sits between $1,500 and $6,000 per month. We start from $2,000.

So a realistic Perth range for a small to medium business is roughly $1,500 to $5,000 per month. Below that you are usually buying a checklist. Above it you are usually buying content production and digital PR as well.

Questions worth asking every agency on your shortlist:

  1. Show me three case studies from businesses my size, in Australia, from the last 18 months.
  2. Who does the work, what is their name, and are they in Australia?
  3. What is the minimum term, and what happens if I leave in month four?
  4. How will you report leads and calls, not just traffic and rankings?
  5. What are you doing about AI answers? If I ask ChatGPT for a business like mine in Perth today, does my name come up?
  6. Who owns the website, the content and the Google Business Profile if we part ways?

On question five, run the test yourself first. Open ChatGPT, ask for the best business in your category in your suburb, and see what happens. It takes a minute and tells you more than any pitch deck.

One last thing on promises. The ACCC is clear that any claim a business makes must be accurate and based on reasonable grounds, and that a business making a claim about a future outcome “must have reasonable grounds for making the claim at the time”. Nobody can guarantee a Google ranking, because nobody controls Google’s results. If an agency guarantees position one, ask them in writing what happens when it does not land.

FAQ

How much does SEO cost in Perth?

Based on the prices Perth agencies publish on their own sites, most small and medium businesses pay between $1,500 and $5,000 per month. Firewire Digital publishes $1,500 to $5,000 as the typical Perth range. The SEO Company publishes $1,500 to $6,000. Our own packages start at $2,000.

What changes the number is competition and scope. Ranking a plumber in one suburb is a different job to ranking a mining services supplier nationally. Ask for the scope in writing, including how many pages get written each month and who writes them.

Is a Perth based agency better than an east coast one?

Not automatically, but it does change how you work together. Perth is two hours behind Sydney and Melbourne in winter and three hours behind in summer, so late afternoon in Perth is after hours on the east coast. A Perth based team is easier to meet in person and more likely to know your suburbs.

What matters more is who does the work. A Perth office with delivery handled somewhere else is not local in any useful sense. Ask for the names and locations of the people on your account.

Why do Google and ChatGPT recommend different Perth agencies?

They use different evidence. Google’s local results lean heavily on Google Business Profile signals, reviews, how close you are and links. ChatGPT reads pages, third party lists and what a business says about itself, then builds a shortlist from what it can quote.

In our checks on 12 September 2026, ChatGPT’s first pick for a Perth local business did not appear in the Google top 20 for either Perth SEO term. That is not a glitch. An agency can be strong in one system and invisible in the other, and the same is true of your own business, which is why it is worth checking both.

Does SEO still work now that AI answers are everywhere?

For commercial searches, yes. Someone searching “emergency electrician perth” still clicks through and books someone. What has changed is informational search, where an AI answer often ends the session.

The search volumes back this up. Terms like “seo perth” and “seo companies perth” are well down on 12 months ago, while trade service terms have held up better. Keep doing SEO for the searches that lead to money, and add work that gets you quoted in AI answers. We cover how that works on our AEO Perth page.

How long before SEO produces leads in Perth?

For a local service business in a suburb with few competitors, small movements often show up in two to three months. For competitive city wide terms like “plumber perth” or “dentist perth”, six to twelve months is realistic, and the first two months usually look like nothing is happening because the technical and content foundations are being built.

Anyone promising page one in 30 days is either working on a term nobody searches for or is not being straight with you. Ask what the 90 day milestones are.

What should a Perth SEO report actually show me?

Leads and calls first, rankings second. A good monthly report tells you how many enquiries came from organic search, which pages produced them, what changed on the site that month, and what is planned next month. Rankings are useful as an early signal, but they are not the outcome you are paying for.

Ask for call tracking so phone enquiries get counted, and make sure the report is set in a time zone you can read without doing maths.

Where to go next

If you want to see how we would approach search for a Perth business, our SEO Perth page explains the process and what is included. Our SEO services page covers the national work, and we also build sites through web design in Perth and run paid social through Instagram Ads in Perth.

Whoever you choose, get three proposals, ask for the case studies, and run the ChatGPT test on your own business before the first meeting. It is a short list of things to do and it will save you a year.
